Let's talk about having some fun - fun with a focus!  Get involved in a CALS club. Learn about career opportunities in your major. Help with service projects. Hone your leadership skills. Make friends. There are many clubs and organizations for CALS students interested in furthering their awareness of issues within their areas of academic, social and career interests. For information on specific clubs, check the following list. Click on the club name to go to the club website (available for most of the clubs). Many other clubs and organizations exist on campus. Agri-Life Council


A representative body of all of the official CALS clubs. Strives to voice the opinions and desires of all CALS students. Promotes leadership and enthusiasm in areas of agriculture and life sciences.
Agricultural and Extension Education Club

Supports and advances agricultural education programs,  Cooperative Extension programs, and organizations associated with agricultural and extension education.
Agribusiness/NAMA Club
Students network with agricultural industry professionals. The marketing team participates in national NAMA competitions.
Agricultural Institute Club Promotes leadership, community, scholarship and friendship, aids in the technological advancement of agriculture and supports CALS
Agronomy Club

Promotes interest in agriculture, educates the general public about the importance of agriculture, encourages student-faculty interactions and enhances students' understanding of local and global agricultural industries

Alpha Gamma Rho

A social-professional agricultural fraternity for men. Develops leaders in the field and classroom.
Alpha Zeta honor Fraternity (Co-Ed)

Co-Ed honor fraternity. Promotes agriculture on campus and in the community. Core values are scholarship, character, leadership and fellowship.
American Red Cross Ambassadors "ARCA" Serves as a link between NC State students and the service activities of the local Red Cross chapter.
Animal Science Career Opportunities Club for Animal Science students and other majors who want to explore career paths other than Veterinary Medicine
Animal Science Club Students interested in promoting and providing interactions with livestock industries and producers
Bass Pack Club
Improve skills and share knowledge and experiences of bass fishing
Biochemistry Club Stimulate interest, provide academic support and career advice to students in Biochemistry
CALS Ambassadors

Student voice of the College and serve as the liaison between the campus and the community
CALS Undergraduate Journal Club Familiarize students with advanced literature in science and improve skills of understanding, presenting and debating current topics of active research
Campus Toastmasters Promote communication and leadership skills in a supportive atmosphere
CERES Women's Agricultural Fraternity

Sisterhood for women from rural backgrounds who share an interest in agriculture.
Collegiate 4-H Club


Continuation of the 4-H Past the Youth program. Provides service to 4-H, the university and the surrounding community 
Collegiate FFA Provides opportunities to develop agricultural leaders and provide social and service activities for members
Colleigiate Horseman's Association Interest in equine-related opportunities. No horse ownership or experience
Companion Animal Club

Students from all majors  interested in enhancing their knowledge of companion animals
Dairy Science Club
Promote and stimulate interest in the dairy industry
Delta Tau Alpha Honor Society

Promote academic scholarship in the Agricultural Institute as well as public service in and around the community
Food Science Club

Encourage leadership and a fuller understanding of the scope of food science and technology within the university and the community

Herpetology Club Amateur herpetologists involved in research, fellowship and education
Horticulture Club

Promote science of horticulture to the university community and general.  Promote scholarships, fellowship and leadership through positive student/faculty  relationships
International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering Student chapter increases awareness of employment opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.

Designed for students interested in both science and humanistic disciplines.
March of Dimes Collegiate Council Educate college women about the benefits of healthy lifestyles to help prevent birth defects
Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) Academic support group for pre-medical and other pre-health students preparing for professional school.
National Society of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences

Promote agricultural and related sciences among ethnic minorities by developing a sense of responsibility to give back to the community and charitable causes
NCSU Chapter of the American Society of Agricultural and BIological Engineers

Provide academic guidance to students with interests in engineering.  Information provided regarding career and leadership opportunities, and community service
Plant Biology Club Provide a resource for those interested in Botany
Poultry Science Club

Promote poultry and fellowship among agricultural students
Pre-Health Club and Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Fraternity Committed to prepare pre-professional students for their careers as well as provide outside opportunities to the community
Pre-Veterinary Medical Association Club allows students to explore multiple paths within the veterinary field, providing opportunities for interaction through scholarship, leadership and fellowship

Young Scientist Club Enrich students' experiences in the sciences through tutoring, demonstrations, science fair judging between NC State and local elementary and middle schools
