What is Tailgate?
  • Tailgate is the largest single Alumni event held at NC State University and the largest single event in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.  CALS Tailgate is much more than a meal before the NC State football game - it is a showcase for the College's academic, research and extension mission, packed around fun events like a silent auction, music, departmental displays, games, great food, fun and friendship!
  • The exhibitors have fun, child friendly games and booths.
  • McCalls Barbecue will have an all you can eat buffet set up during the event, which includes tasty pulled pork (eastern and western style!), southern fried chicken, vegetables, and the best NC banana pudding! 
  • The NC State Pep Band, under the direction of Dr. Paul Garcia, will be performing with Mr. and Mrs. Wuf to get NC State fans excited for a win.

Where? Dorton Arena, NC State Fairgrounds
Football? NC State vs. Louisiana Tech
Kickoff @ 12:30 p.m.
How can I be a part of CALS Tailgate? Volunteers are needed to help with setup and take down of the event, including other pre-event tasks.  Volunteers receive free admission into CALS Tailgate, which includes a meal ticket, and a CALS Tailgate t-shirt.  If you are interested in participating as a volunteer, contact Jennifer Bernabi at 919.515.62 or jennifer_bernabi@ncsu.edu.

Pricing Tickets include meal, admission to the event, and entertainment

Adult Event Tickets : $18
Student Event Tickets (13 years-college) : $14
Child Event Tickets (4-12 years): $9
Infant/Toddler Tickets (0-3 years):  No Charge
Football Tickets:  $40 (must be purchased with Tailgate event ticket)
