New Business Start-up: I provide training and support county extension staff, organized groups and governmental agencies in area of new business/enterprise evaluation. The training focuses on methods and tools of evaluating a new enterprise. I have developed materials and tools to assist with the evaluation process. An example of the business materials is the Business Files which are posed on the University website. I assist international group’s address questions on business start-up and compile reference materials that assist county staff and organized groups and governmental agencies work in this area. I have developed several “Evaluating Your Business Idea” presentations that have been used at county and national meetings. 

Cooperative Development: I have assisted new producer groups evaluate and develop their new business ideas.  I conducted several feasibility studies and business plans for the producers groups. I have conducted training on business planning and business start-up. 

Direct Marketing: I have developed training on how to conduct practical market research, identify potential customers, differentiating their product and promotion methods. I developed direct market tools and resources to assist in this area.

Financial Management: I have done financial management presentations such as evaluating your financial health, how to develop your financial statements, how to set up a record keeping system. I have developed financial workshops for new business owners. I have developed numerous budgets and cost of production numbers programs and trainings.
