A New Year and a New Professsional You!
Happy New Year CALS Students! We hope that your Spring semester is off to fresh new start! In this month's issue, grab a pen and paper and mark your calendars for ALL of the fantastic events CALS Career Services has coming your way! Learn more from our Director on our  annual workshop Focus On Your Future! Then get a sneak peak on a brand new workshop event, Fill in the Gap. Also enjoy the words of wisdom from our faculty and alumni in the Faculty Spotlight and Young Alumni sections. We also have a new section called "Ask Career Services" where students can get helpful tips and answers to their career-related questions and concerns! It's a New Year and the events we have lined up will certainly be beneficial as you continue to grow into a professional YOU!

    Advice from CALS Faculty on how students can be a success!
    Our Faculty Spotlight for this edition is Dr. Cynthia Hemenwey from the Department of Molecular and Structural Biochemistry. She currently serves as a Professor of Biochemistry. Originally hailing from Toluca, IL, Dr. Hemenwey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She then proceeded to Columbia University in New York where she completed her graduate studies.
