Instructions For Entering Freshmen/Transfer students
The College awards scholarships to newly admitted CALS students.
CALS scholarships and awards are available to new students based on academic merit, financial need and most often, a combination of both merit and need. In order to be considered for any CALS scholarship for which financial need is a factor or for other financial aid, students are encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. This application is available from the NCSU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid and via the link above. Priority deadline for filing FAFSA is March 1st.
Applications for scholarships and awards from CALS for newly admitted students will be accepted from January 29th through February 17th.
Please note that most College scholarships and awards are determined in late-spring and may not be included in your financial aid package from the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Only students who receive a scholarship or award will be contacted.
