Abstract Title : Nickel-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling of Pyridine Derivatives with Grignard Reagents using an Aminohydroxyphosphine Ligand |
|
Abstract : A novel catalyst system based on a nickel precatalyst and aminohydroxyphosphine ligand waas employed on the Kumada corss-coupling reaction of N-heteroaryl chlorides with a variety of Grignard reagents. The results of these experiments showed that for this particular reaction, the ligand was more effective in catalyzing the reaction than the ligand free reaction. The ligand did not provide the most effective results as a catalyst though and may require less than ideal conditions to be more effective. |
