Biology is a huge field, and in selecting a course of undergraduate studies it is important to consider whether you want a broad overview of biology or whether you would prefer to focus your studies more in a given area. We offer both options within our department for some topics, but there are also a number of other departments at NCSU that offer degrees in specialized areas within biology.
