The Department of Biology offers several degree programs for students at the undergraduate and graduate levels who wish to pursue studies in any of a number of areas within the field of biology. These programs complement those offered by other life science departments at NCSU, including Animal Science, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, and Plant Biology, and each offers entry into a wide variety of professions. All students in the Department of Biology are also encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to develop a relationship with an academic adviser.
