Health PAC, the Pre-Health Clubs and CSLEPS is excited to partner with Stop Hunger Now for the 6th year to package meals for the world's hungry. and the NCSU Pre-Health Clubs and Health PAC are again forming a group to participate

The event URL is:
http://harvest.cals.ncsu.edu/applications/cals_registration/index.cfm?eventID=787

The meal packaging event will be Saturday November 17, 2012 and our volunteers are registering for the 9am-noon shift.  We are registering as a group and will meet and package together

This is a 3 point PHClubs event as well with 2 points for donating the $25 for supplies and one for packaging

We are also asking volunteers to donate $25 per person towards this event. Stop Hunger Now meals cost 0.25, so each volunteer's donation will help provide 100 meals towards our goal of 125,000 meals!

Complete the information below to register with the PHClubs/Health PAC team -

Points are as follows:

If you donate the minimum $25 and participate in the packaging event  - you will receive 3 service points toward your FALL 2012 PHC points

If you donate $25 but do not particiapate in packaging - you will receive 2 points

Please do not sign up if you are not going to follow through with your payment - we will take registrations through the end of Sept or whenever we fill our 75 slots -  (do not register online through the CSLEPS link - only here)

You may submit your payment by check (to Stop Hunger Now or NCSU Pre-Health Club) or by cash (remember if you pay by cash - you must place your payment in an envelope with your name, student ID, amount and Stop Hunger Now on the front - homemade envelopes out of a sheet of paper are fine)

We will collect the actual payments starting Monday - Sept 10th through Noon Friday - Sept 28th - payments should be placed in the hanging folder for "other events" at the front of the hanging file folder box - make sure to sign your name in on the donation sheet in the folder

Thank you all so much for stepping up once again to make this event happen and to do our part to help STOP HUNGER NOW!

Email Dr. Flick at anita_flick@ncsu.edu with any questions

(FYI - if you register with another team - you may receive one service point for participating if you submit a service form for the PHClubs)
.
Dr. Flick has already registered the team with CSLEPS - please do not register again with their online system - they will have a list of all our participants

Also - when you register below here - you will receive reminders in Nov - 2 weeks, 1 week and the day before the packaging event so no worries about forgetting - just mark your calendars now for Nov. 17th - more details to come

2) Operation Christmas Child - Due by Nov 8th - Noon

All of the pre-printed operation Christmas child boxes that Health PAC purchased have been taken - however you can also make your own to be donated with our collection - details below (remember returning completed box with shipping fee is a 3 point event for your group)

If you use an actual shoebox - please wrap it in Xmas paper but do not seal it (wrap top and bottom separately so they can open it for inspection) - OR you can use a tupperware style shoe box size container that they can see through and not wrap it

Make sure that ANY box is returned with the label attached (details below) and the $7 payment for shipping is NOT in the box (or your receipt of online payment) and sign in your box (if you checked out a printed box - check off your name - if you made your own - add name to list when returned if wanting to receive PH Clubs points for your club group)
