College Year 2

Fall Semester

  • Continue development of your Health PAC Portfolio – expand on previous and develop new activities.
  • Explore opportunities for leadership and development roles.
  • Investigate available medically related clinical or research activities as well as service activities.
  • Continue gaining healthcare/clinical experience.
  • Participate actively in service organizations and campus activities.
  • Begin planning summer activities and explore program deadlines.
  • Continue meeting with faculty. Check in with academic advisor.
  • Learn about current health care issues such as health care reform, managed care systems, medical ethics and other important and current issues relevant to medicine.
  • Successfully complete third-semester required premedical coursework and other degree requirements.

 

Spring Semester

  • Check in with pre-health advisor and participate in pre-health activities.
  • Participate in clinical or research activities.
  • Identify and confirm summer related opportunities.
  • Continue to learn about current health care issues such as health care reform, managed care systems, medical ethics and other important and current issues relevant to medicine.
  • Successfully complete fourth-semester required premedical coursework and other degree requirements.

 

Summer

  • Complete summer medically related experience, research or other unique experiences.
  • Attend summer school, if desired or necessary.
