Co-curricular activities are a valuable part of your college education and participation in such activities can provide an invigorating change of pace from your daily classroom routine. You may elect to participate in the Poultry Science Club or other university based clubs. The Poultry Science Club sponsors numerous events during the academic year, including: Casey the Cardinal at the State Fair, an annual Thanksgiving ham and smoked turkey sale, an annual awards banquet in the spring, a three-day trip to the U.S. Poultry and Egg Convention in Atlanta, GA, and a week's trip to the beach or mountains following graduation.
Bi-weekly meetings with dinner are also held, so that students have the opportunity to get to know their classmates and faculty advisers well.

Final Exam Week
Finals are just around the corner, and it can be difficult to keep track of everything you have to do. Make sure to complete all your class work in a timely manner so you can start studying. Once the big week is here, try to wake up in time to eat breakfast before each test, and go to bed at a good hour to keep from getting run down and stressed out. And remember, if you are feeling overwhelmed, it is ok to take a break and watch an episode of your favorite show (not the whole season at once though!), drink a cup of tea, or talk to a friend or family member to help clear your mind. Do your best! Good luck!
Congratulations to all our graduating seniors! No matter where you go, just remember where you came from. You will do great things in the (poultry) world no matter where life takes you! Best wishes and good luck!
