A passion for poultry has given soon-to-be CALS grad Chloe OโBrien a foothold into a bright future. ๐๐
Chloe entered NC State through @ncstateagi, and after earning her associateโs degree, seamlessly transitioned to pursuing her bachelorโs in poultry science. She thrived as a four-year student, excelling in courses like Agrosecurity, Muscle Foods and Eggs, and Comparative Nutrition and Avian Diseases.
โThe entire poultry science department is deeply invested in the success and well-being of its students, creating a nurturing community bound by shared passion and curiosity,โ she says. โThis department and major has truly changed my life, and I am immensely grateful for everyone I have met along the way.โ
Chloe will graduate this Saturday with a bachelorโs degree in poultry science. After graduation, her goal is to ultimately work as a veterinarian for a large poultry farm.

Meet soon-to-be CALS grad Alaina Peoples! ๐๐ Alaina will be graduating this Saturday with a bachelorโs in animal science. She is from Henderson, North Carolina.
โThe past three years at NC State has been the best years of my life. I have learned so much about the agriculture industry and myself. I cannot thank this institution enough for introducing me to my best friends and helping me find my passion. Go pack!!!โ
After graduation, Alaina will be will be attending grad school at NC State to pursue a masterโs in agricultural education. In the future, she hopes to teach at NC Stateโs two-year program, @ncstateagi.

Congratulations to the CALS students and faculty who were recognized at the inaugural 2024 CALS Awards! ๐๐ Sixteen undergrad and grad students were awarded for thir outstanding scholarship, leadership, research and community outreach, and fifteen members of the faculty were honored for teaching and advising excellence.
