Event Title: The Summer Vegetable Garden
Description: It was a very long, cool spring, so the soil did not warm as quickly as most years. Late April should be the best time to get your summer vegetables in the ground! Learn the basics necessary to start your summer vegetable garden, including site selection, soil preparation, variety selection, and local seasonal planting, as well as details on growing the summer vegetables, including summer pests and their control. You can make 2013 your year to eat a wider variety of fresh. local vegetables - from early spring through early winter - and to grow some of those vegetables yourself! The class will be held in Room 306 of the CMAST building, the NC State University building located on the campus of Carteret community college.
Date: 04/26/2013 (05:30 PM - 07:00 PM)
