Event Title: Future of Food Series: Dr. Jayson Lusk Seminar
Description: Join us Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 3:30pm on campus (Titmus Theatre, Thompson Hall) to hear the author of The Food Police: A Well-Fed Manifesto About the Politics of Your Plate. Dr. Jayson Lusk is a Professor and Willard Sparks Endowed Chair from Oklahoma State University, the Department of Agricultural Economics.

Dr. Lusk’s research has primarily focuses on predicting and understanding consumer behavior as it relates to food. Since 2000, he has published more than 120 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals on a wide range of topics ranging from the economics of animal welfare to consumer preferences for genetically modified food to the impacts of new technologies and policies on livestock and meat markets to analyzing the merits of new survey and experimental approaches eliciting consumer preferences. He has been listed as one of the most prolific and cited food and agricultural economists of the past decade.

Dr. Lusk will speak for approximately one hour (3:30-4:30pm) and then host an optional q&a session beginning at 4:30pm.
