Wayne Buhler is a Professor, Extension Specialist, and Interim Department Head in the Department of Horticultural Science at North Carolina State University. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Anderson University in Indiana, and has a Master’s degree and a PhD in Entomology from Purdue University. He is the Coordinator for the NC Pesticide Safety Education Program (http:// pesticidesafety.ces.ncsu.edu). His responsibilities include the development and distribution of educational materials dealing with the proper and responsible use of pesticides for the certification and recertification of pesticide applicators. Wayne works with his Extension colleagues throughout the U.S. to create content for the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship website (http://pesticidestewardship.org) and extension Pesticide Stewardship CoP.
