As an assistant director of NSF Center for Integrated Pest Management at North Carolina State University, I conducted research and extension activities in pretty much all major continents except of Europe. The activities focused on 1) application of information technology in crop protection and/or pest management, 2) field studies of management strategy of economically significant agricultural pests and diseases, 3) surveys of the agricultural pests and diseases that threat U.S. agricultural production, 4) biology and ecology of biological invasion and phytosanitary issues.

I collaborated with broad research institutes around the globe, with emphasis in China. So far, my projects provided more than $1,00,000 financial supports to the agricultural research institute in developing countries.
