Located right along Hillsborough Street, the garden outside of Kilgore Hall blooms as a living hub for learning and building community. 🌱🌷

The garden came to be in 2019 as part of a landscape design class project, where students ideated a gathering space with wildlife-friendly features. Now, five years later, the garden continues to provide community enrichment and learning opportunities. During scheduled volunteer days, @horticultureclubncsu members work alongside horticulturists with the grounds crew to plant, weed, water, mulch and prune to keep the garden in tiptop shape.

“Especially for students that are in horticulture that maybe do not have their own garden at home, this is an opportunity to just learn those hands-on skills,” says Brady Farlow, president of the Horticulture Club.
